about

The 4th single off Spells EP

'Attawalpa goes clear on the final unreleased track, and the EP - “Go To The Moon’ was written in my first London recording studio (Moon Studios). I called it Moon because it was a 1700’s crypt opposite Tower bridge. I painted it all white and it had no windows, it felt like I was living in a spaceship. I was going through a tough, yet exhilarating time back then. I was in London and not looking after myself. I was waltzing with oblivion and the party was catching up with me. The song is a reminder about my need for escapism, the longing to be somewhere else. Somewhere where I can be myself, creative and free from toxicity.'

lyrics

I’ve got voices
In my head
And they won’t shut up

All the gossip
So frustrating
But I’m still listening

I wanna go to the moon
How do I get there?

Give me substance
Am I stuck in a cycle?
Nostalgia
Losing touch but I’m still listening

I wanna go to the moon
How do I get there?

I’ve got voices
In my head but I’m still listening

I wanna go
I wanna go
I wanna go to the moon

Cos I’ll never ever come back again
Seeing how it feels
Digging in my heels
Yh I’ll never ever come back again
Seeing how it feels
Sinking
Sinking in the sand dunes
